Understanding FUE Hair Transplantation
FUE, or Follicular Unit Extraction, involves the precise extraction of micro hair follicle bundles from the scalp and their placement in new locations. Follicular units are individually extracted using a specialized tool and transplanted on the same day. This technique can also utilize body hair and can be combined with FUT.
Advantages of FUE Technique
The main advantage of FUE is its ability to extract follicles without leaving visible marks. The donor areas typically recover within 24 to 48 hours, allowing for the use of transplanted hair in short styles.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates undergo detailed analysis to determine suitability for FUE. Non-genetic factors contributing to hair loss are investigated through blood tests. If no systemic issues are found and the donor area has sufficient follicles, the candidate is scheduled for the procedure.
Procedure Overview
On the day of the procedure, the donor area is shaved to facilitate follicle collection. Local anesthesia is administered to ensure a painless experience. Follicles are harvested and meticulously placed in incisions on the recipient site.

FUE Technique: Follicular Unit Extraction
The FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique involves the extraction of micro hair follicle bundles called follicular units from the scalp one by one and placing them into new locations. This method also allows the use of body hairs by extracting them.
One of the greatest advantages of the FUE technique is that it doesn't leave clear marks where the follicles are extracted. The recovery of the extraction sites typically takes 24 to 48 hours, allowing for the use of short hair.
Eligibility for FUE Technique
Before undergoing the FUE method, a detailed analysis is conducted to determine the suitability of the patient for hair transplantation. Non-genetic factors causing hair loss are examined through blood tests. If no systematic problem is found and the donor area has an adequate number of follicles, an appointment is scheduled.
Procedure Overview
On the day of the procedure, the donor area is shaved to facilitate follicle collection. Local anesthesia is then applied by the attending physician to ensure a pain-free experience. Follicles are collected and placed into refined incisions on the surface to be transplanted.
